Create an Instance

The EDM (Essential Data Manager) allows you to capture data about our organisation into grouped elements known as Instance Classes.
Instructions
Click on Capture and you use the tree to navigate to the class you want to create an instance for (Business layer, Application layer, Information layer, Technology layer, EA support and About Essential are all the main branches which also branch out into more).
After choosing your class, click New and add information for your Instance; a name (required) and description, Delivery Model, Contained Application Providers, Lifecycle Status etc. as shown in the video for creating a new instance for a Composite Application Provider and capturing its information.
