More exciting new features in our second monthly release of 2025 for the Essential EA Management Tool. We’ll go over these in the coming weeks. Two new features are the Performance Measure Tracking Panel and Sketches in the Application Summary.
Gain visibility into key performance metrics across your IT organisation, such as availability, supplier performance and so on. This feature is an Editor Component that enables you to record the target and actual performance data across the business, application, technology, and information areas in Essential. Alongside business and data quality metrics, ensuring a comprehensive view of your success.
Use the panel to track target vs. actual performance, helping you identify gaps and make informed decisions. The trackers are separated into three types, number, rating, and yes/no, giving you a range of options for tracking performance. Additionally, the tracker allows you to create & manage KPI groups – whether for applications, technology products, or other key assets – giving you the flexibility to analyse performance at various levels.

Sketch in the Application Summary View
This release also sees the addition of the sketch pad to the Application Summary View. This enables you to see diagrams you have drawn using the sketch component in the application summary.
