The latest in our series of articles on “What is EA?” is from our Partner in AsiaPac, Akto.
Akto have posted a blog describing their view on “What is EA?” on their site. It emphasises the importance of Enterprise Architecture (EA) in organisations and argues that all companies engage in EA, though some may do so without designated Enterprise Architects. It highlights that as organisations grow, managing technology decisions, usage, and business processes becomes more complex, leading to increased risks and costs. As organisations become more complex they advocate for the use of EA guides, individuals trained in EA who can navigate the specific needs of a business, providing a force multiplier effect, and the use of an EA Management tool to streamline complex data and enhance decision-making for business success.
