Coming soon to Essential is the all-new Application Business Continuity Plan (BCP) view. This is a quick rundown of what you will be able to see in the view.
A regularly tested business continuity plan (BCP) is crucial for minimising the impact of disruptions on a business’s operations, finances, and reputation. By having a well-defined and tested BCP, businesses can be better prepared to respond to unexpected events and maintain a level of normalcy during and after a crisis. This view can help you identify and present the most at risk areas to management, and begin bringing improvements to those areas once they have been identified.
What the View Does
The dashboard will provide insights into your business continuity planning posture, specifically with regards to the systems that support your business.
Identify the applications that are furthest from achieving their stated recovery time objectives.
View a heat map of your business capabilities in terms of the number of applications whose recovery point actual (RPA) or recovery time actual (RTA) fail to meet the stated recovery point objective (RPO) or recovery time objective (RTO)
Search or query a table view of your application portfolio that includes BCP-specific details such as RPO, RPA, RTO/RTA, when the BCP was last tested. Users will be able to export this data as Excel or CSV.
Take a look at the blast radius of a business continuity event (real or test) to see exactly who and what was affected, e.g. business. units, other applications, business processes and recovery point of business capabilities.
Keep an eye out for this view in an upcoming release
