An example query using the dynamic query tool

Dynamic Query Tool v2

In response to requests from our clients we have improved the Dynamic Query Tool (DQT) to allow users to easily navigate complex relationships and view or export the results.  It also provides the ability to save the queries, or to make them available as catalogues in the viewer portals.

This makes ad-hoc querying of data very easy and powerful, a really useful addition to the many advanced dashboards and views that are already available.

DQT v2 provides the same basic functions as v1, with enhanced specificity. One feature is the ability to navigate relationship classes so you can, for example, display the applications that support a business capability, which cannot be done in v1.

Dqt Navigate Columns

Once a query has been performed, there is now the ability to add advanced filters or conditions to the query. Alongside this, there is the ability to save as catalogues for users, with customised column labels, and more detail on your saved queries. These customise query results so that you can optimise the query and get the most relevant results.

This is available as a DUP initially, with a second DUP to allow you to switch back to v1 if you would prefer (or change between the two ad hoc).

Visit the release notes page to download the DUPs.
