Is the program-project structure only two tiers or is it possible to have a deeper hierarchy on either or both sides, i.e. a portfolio structure?
I'm having a challenge to model our governance model, which is something like a portfolio. A colleague using a different EA-system (I know, that happens) said they had solved this by using the portfolio module in that system.
However, when just looking at the meta-model it seems as if there are only 2 levels in Essential, the program and the project(s)…?
Alternate solutions to tha same issue are also very welcome!
Project/program hierarchy?
I have a similar need, but it seems like the model for the Programme-Project is supporting only those two tiers. In other classes in EA, it is supported this type of hierarchy, but not for programme and Project.
Even is you extend your model to support the inverse of the class (to support parent hierarchy), you will need to modify the views for project and programme to support this extension.
I'm a user like you, so it would be good to hear from support/developers about this need.
