I have the same issue on my own local installations.
VHost/reverse proxy support
-----------------------------------------------
When accessed behind a reverse proxy with vhost configured, the app folder is duplicated.
The case : Viewer deployed on http://my.server.adress:8080/viewer and exposed as http://viewer.services.com.
The language change redirects to the page http://viewer.services.com/viewver/essentialLanguage
Instead of, I suppose, http://viewer.services.com/essentialLanguage.
The error (404) message :
