[Essential Meta Model 6.1.1] How and Where to use the Information_Representation_Category ?

Hi.

From the release notes :

Information_Representation_Category. New enumeration class and instances.

And from the class documentation

Used to categrise diferent types of information representation (e.g. database, report, data feed, message, document)

But we don't find a slot with this Type in neither the Information_Representation class nor a subclass of EA_Relation.

So how and where can we use this new class ? Is it available only via an extension pack ?

This is a minor omission in the update pack. There should indeed be a slot on the Information Representation class to enable you to use this classification.

We're building an update now and will get this out shortly as an EUP.

I have 2 additionnal issues :

Bus Capability Analysis by Business Domain

Is it an extension pack specific report ?

InfoData_Representation_Attribute_Type. New subclass of Enumeration describing data types for Information and Data Representation Attributes.

Information_Representation_Attribute_Type. New type of Enumeration describing data types for Information and Data Representation Attributes

It seems like the second is a simple synonym of the first, as no Information_Representation_Attribute_Type class found in the metamodel.

The report that you've mentioned has that name in the View source file, is the Business Process Analysis for Business Domain:

e.g. Business Process Analysis for Business Domain demo

Thanks also for the feedback about the two Information Representation Attribute Types mentioned in the release notes. The second one is a typo. I've updated the release notes.
