Protege 3.x Migration to 4.x

Hi,

Essential Project currently runs on Protege 3.x
As I found on proteges web-page there is already Protege 4.x

When we would start with essential and protege 3.x - what is the migration effort to migrate
our architecture model from 3.x -> 4.x? What about all the protege plug ins available etc.

When will essential migrate to 4.x?

Thans

Hi Wolfgang.

Although there is Protege 4, Protege 3.x is still an active project within the Protege team. Indeed, Protege 3.4.8 was only just released and Protege 4 is a rather different platform.

There are a number of features that are not yet available in Protege 4 - support for Frames and multi-user mode being some of the most important - and until those are available in Protege 4, we have no plans to migrate from Protege 3.
