JBoss 7 and Protege 4?

Any experiences with running Essential on JBoss rather than Tomcat (I already have Jboss 7 installed and running with MySQL on my Linux box and since it contains a web container so it feels a bit redundant to also install Tomcat)?

I read somewhere that Protege 3 something was recommended - what is up with 4.1 and 4.2 beta? Are they not backwards compatible? Any plans to support them (once again I already have 4.1 running and also installing some old 3 version seems redundant)?

Although I don't have any personal experience of running Essential under JBoss, I understand that some of the Protege team have used it successfully.

Regarding v3 vs v4 of Protege, Jonathan has covered this in a previous post which should answer your question.
