Standalone version - Unable to publish

Installed a standalone version of the application.

When I tried to publish I get the following error:

Rendering repository...
Sending repository snapshot...
Checking for access...
Sending XML snapshot...
Failed to send snapshot to the Report Service :
Essential Viewer ReportService could not be found at this URL

On Tomcat, I see the following log:
<!doctype html><html lang="en"><head><title>HTTP Status 404 ΓÇô Not Found</title><style type="text/css">body {font-family:Tahoma,Arial,sans-serif;} h1, h2, h3, b {color:white;background-color:#525D76;} h1 {font-size:22px;} h2 {font-size:16px;} h3 {font-size:14px;} p {font-size:12px;} a {color:black;} .line {height:1px;background-color:#525D76;border:none;}</style></head><body><h1>HTTP Status 404 ΓÇô Not Found</h1><hr class="line" /><p><b>Type</b> Status Report</p><p><b>Message</b> The requested resource [&#47;essential_viewer&#47;reportService] is not available</p><p><b>Description</b> The origin server did not find a current representation for the target resource or is not willing to disclose that one exists.</p><hr class="line" /><h3>Apache Tomcat/10.0.2</h3></body></html>

I did place the essential_viewer war file in the webapps directory.

Hi,

Most common issue is the permisions on the directory ie: read only vs write on the unpacked viewer directory. A report.xml file is create and placed in that directory at root. Or the path name in the publishing service (essential Viewer) is wrong and lastly there is a memory issue but sounds like first two. Is tomcat up and running?

Thanks for posting back that you have been able to resolve this via the Apache Tomcat version.

Can I ask which version was NOT working for you?

Thanks @Colin for your post on here, too!

Version 10 of Tomcat

Further on Windows I had to remove jaxb-impl.jar from from the plugins folder as it was throwing exceptings. It wanted 2.2 jaxb-api.jar. I replaced the 2.1 version with 2.2 and yet it complained.
