Mac Install Problem - Finding Protege

I am trying to install on Mac OSX Mavericks (10.9.2), I have the standard Apple Java 1.6 installed, and I have Protege 4.3 installed in my Application folder.

When I try to install essential i cannot progress past the screen that links essential and protege. The installer does not automatically find my Protege installation (/Applications/Protege_4.3/) and when I tell it where the folder is I get the following error "The file or directory you have chosen either does not exist or is not appropriate".

Any advice?

Hi,

Apologies for the delayed response.

You need to be running a 3.x version of Protege.
4.x versions are not compatible.

Both v3.x and v4.x are current but different products.

Many of the development team here use Macs with Mavericks with no issues (in fact usually less than Windows ;) )

Let me know how you get on.

Cheers

Neil
