Is it possible to import BPMN process flows into the repository?

Hi,

The answer to this is "it depends".

We have no pre-built importer for BPMN though we do have the ability to import well structured XML.

What tool are flows already in?
Does this tool have a XML export?
Have the flows been modelled consistently using strong semantics for the different aspects of the flow?

We have imported process flow data from other tools both via XML and Excel. In all cases, some manual clean up was required.

It's worth pointing out that Essential will ignore any layout of these flows. We focus on capturing the data then representing that dynamically in the Viewer.

This is quite a complex process and we'd strongly recommend engaging EAS professional services to assist. It's certainly worthwhile if you have a significant number of process flows to import.
