Can someone clarify, viewer1 pointing to sandbox in the above environment. ?

Also if i go to publish screen select viewer3 will it select sandbox respository and publish?

You can publish any repository to any viewer. The repository you are current in will be the repository published and the viewer selected will be the viewer that receives that data. We suggest that you publish Sandbox to Viewer 3, PreProd to V2 and Prod to V1 but in some cases you may want to publish to a different viewer, for example if testing something, e.g. a new view you have built, so we leave it up to you how you use them.
