Frames vs. OWL

Hi,

The essential Meta model comes as .pont file (Protege Frames not OWL).

Why did you decide to use Frames instead of OWL?
OWL seems to be the more "trendy" approach?

We spent a considerable amount of time looking at both approaches and using the guidance on the Protege website, we realised that Frames fitted what we needed better than OWL.
