I have a multi user install on a single machine which I use for development and testing. Many multi user installs only ever exist on a single machine. I'd suggest you run through the install process and if you get any problems then post your questions here.

Thanks

I've run a number of multi-user installations on laptop computers and have one on my notebook.
Works exactly the same as a 'proper' server installation and the Installation and Configuration instructions are exactly the same.

Hi

I currently have installed on my laptop only.

In order to guard against failure, am I ok with just making a copy of the .pins, .pont and .pprj files if I haven't created any new views or modified the database at all?

Thanks

Yes, absolutely - that's a simple and sensible approach to backing up the repository if you are using the 3 Protege files to store it.
